Titles labelled "via Movies Anywhere" redeem at Movies Anywhere and then appear on Apple TV, Vudu (Fandango at Home), Amazon and Google Play at once. Either way you get the same HD copy Apple sells, and the code never expires until it is used unless the listing says otherwise.
Apple treats HD and 4K purchases as the same item, so an HD title you own on Apple TV will play in 4K on a 4K Apple TV device if Apple has a 4K version. Frequently asked questions
How do I redeem an iTunes code?
Open the Apple TV app or the iTunes Store, choose Redeem Gift Card or Code, sign in with your Apple ID and enter the code. On iPhone it is under your account picture in the App Store or TV app.
Do I need a US Apple ID?
Yes. These codes only redeem on Apple accounts set to the United States store.
Will my iTunes movie show up on Vudu?
Only if the title is a Movies Anywhere title and you have linked Apple to Movies Anywhere. Apple-only titles from Paramount or Lionsgate stay in Apple.
What happens if the code was already used?
We verify codes before listing. If one is rejected, send us your order number and we replace or refund it.
Can I watch on a Windows PC or Android?
Yes, through the Apple TV app for Windows or the Apple TV website, and on Android TV devices with the Apple TV app.
